It's hard to believe a week has passed
since our gathering at Paper Cowgirl.
About this time (9:00 am) last Saturday,
I was busy packing my class kits into the car,
making sure I had all my vendor stuff,
and trying to finish up a cute lil' apron I had
started to make at 7:00 am that morning. : )
(crafting relaxes me!)
So, back to my class...
"A Feathered Friend Collection"
With the gracious permission of Rebecca Sower,
I taught a collage technique I learned from her.
My vision for the classroom was "cozy & intimate",
so I draped the table with a silk cloth
and I added a simple centerpiece of twigs & doves.
Each student was greeted with a class kit,
complete with a tissue bloom, project instructions,
and a special gift: the peat's pot nest
that was sealed in beeswax.
I think things went well. *wink*
The students really seemed to enjoy themselves.
There was lots of talking & gigglin'
and they were full of compliments & praise.
I think know I had the BEST class ever!
To my students...
Thank you!!
I truly enjoyed my time with each of you
and I left class with a full heart.
hugs, Joanna
Wow Joanna,
From all what I've heard and seen, your class was fabulous! How serene...you are a girl after my own heart :)
It was hard to choose classes for PC as several were in the same time slot...I'm so sorry I missed yours.
I'm just so thankful that I was able to see you twice this year and see your smiley face!
So what's next and where do we go now???
:)

I know you worked so hard and it took months to get ready for and now it is over in a blink. Looks like it was a beautiful class and I hope you do it next year so I can come and take it from you! Looks amazing and I love the project!!! ~Shelley O.

Looks like a successful and beautiful setup. And the students had a great time! Does it get any better than that? Your kits and extras are gorgeous. Glad I got to see you that evening at vendor night, even if just for a bit! ~ Angela

Sweetie, I LOVED your class and even though I was the only one that didn't finish the project I am going to get it finished and hung in my "artist's make the best wallpaper" guest room.
You were a great teacher and when you next speak with Rebecca Sower, tell her how much we enjoyed her "creation" and thank her for sharing it!
Hope to talk with you soon.
Warmly, Jan

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Sadly, I didn't take many photos of PC this year and I regret it.
Your class looks like it was a lot of fun. I'm sorry I missed it! There's always next time :)
Have a fabulous day!

Dear Joanna, it was so great to meet you & even better to have been in your class! You were an excellent teacher - I LOVE the project (I'm probably even keeping it for ME) and I loved all the gifts you generously gave. I sure hope you will be teaching again next year!!!! I'm already looking for my cowgirl boots and maybe even a tiara!!!! Have a wonderful year.

Joanna- Your class was so incredible!! I love my project and placed it on a shelf in my bedroom where I can see it every morning!! I loved the whole technique! I thought you did a fabulous job of setting up your classroom, makes me want to set the bar higher for my next event!!! I also love, love all the goodies I got from you on vendor night...thought I might have to fight some of the women for them as I walked out into the parking lot!!! LOL!!! ~ Sandra
