but all I see is Beauty. I purchased
her at an estate sale for $4.00
I was surprised that after a 3 day
sale, she was still available. But I guess, she
was meant to join my family. :)
I love this wooden cross!
This cross is pretty much what started my collection.
I stumbled across it at an estate sale years ago.
I think I paid around $15.00 for it.
But upon laying eyes on it,
Vintage Children's Books.
The covers are a little worn, but the pages
are in perfect condition.
I purchased both of these books at a
yard sale/fundraiser for a local school.
Each book was 25 cents.
An old Bible that belonged to Hettie Lewis, born 1874.
Originally, I had plans of selling this in my shop.
But when I noticed it belonged to a "Lewis"
(same as my married name)
I knew I wanted to keep it.
Esp. since it dates back so far.
Your not going to believe this, but I purchased
this for $1.00 at an estate sale in Dallas.
Upon finding it, I was shocked that
none of the family members had claimed it.
And I found it a little odd that I was thinking
about purchasing it. But once I saw the name:
"Lewis"
I was hooked.
And this is a Divinity Crucifix-
Sick Call Set.
I haven't read the directions in a while, but
I believe one would set up the crucifix,
light the candles and say a special prayer
over someone who is ill.
I purchased this set an antique store in
Irving for $20.00
