Pretty Pinks

I've been doing a lot of junkin

lately...

Spring does that to me!

It makes me want to spend, spend, spend

& re-decorate!

Here are a couple of pretty pinks

that I have found on my

recent junkin' adventures:

A gorgeous pink hat box

that I picked up for $1.50

a cute lil' vintage hat to add to my collection,

$2.95

   

a fancy, hand painted shelf, $19

(which is definitely, my best "find".   It totally reminds

me of my friend Sherry!)  tee-hee

and this precious pink porcelain

lipstick holder, $5.

My daughter has started collecting these.

Typically, I find the metal ones... so,

I had to add this one to the bunch.  : )

Pink Roses

I  L.O.V.E  dishes with

lil' pink roses!

 

My craft room is full of them.

I'll use them for just about anything.

 

To hold my religious pieces and crystals.

...perfect for a small grouping of my favorite

pink buttons.

And great to display a couple of rhinestone pieces.

Maybe one day,  I'll have a kitchen full of

 {pink}  rose patterned dishes!

Vintage hat

Hello my sweet blog friends!

Thanks for visiting me today...

I have been junkin' a lot lately.

Now a days, it seems I am always

looking for things to pull apart or

revamp for art purposes.

 

The other day,  while junkin' at the

Cattle Barn Flea Market in Ft. Worth, 

I stumbled across these

beautiful vintage hats.

 

I am forever looking for inexpensive

vintage hats so that I can pull

the millinery off.

I'm guessing these lovelies are from the 50's.

Anyhoo,  I wasted no time inquiring

about this one:

Just check out the flowers.

The pink little beads.

And the netting.

 

I simply adore this hat!

Actually, I think it's more accurate

to say, I "LOVE" this hat!

And I can promise you...

every single flower will remain

free of plucking!  tee-hee

 

At the moment,  this precious beauty

sits on the vintage cabinet in

my bedroom.   It's one of the 1st

things I see in the morning.

Eventually, my goal is to have a

lovely vanity with lots of little

vintage trinkets.  It will be the

perfect place to show off my hat.

When I'm not wearing it!  :)

Vintage Lefton Wall Hanging

Lucky me!   tee-hee

I found the absolute cutest,

Vintage Lefton Wall Hanging at

a yard sale the other day.

 

Two Kittens...

 

riding in a hot air balloon.

... and they are waving their lil' paws!

They are painted a baby blue & baby pink color,

and the bow around their neck

is a tad darker.

 

The basket was made

to resemble a little wicker basket.

And the balloon has a light shade of yellow

and some gold accents that match

the gold string tying the 2 pieces together.

Too cute, huh?

I am thinking about gifting it to

a Bella sister/blog friend that I met

last year in Omaha.

It's totally her style!

Any ideas on who I might be thinking of?

Peat's pot buckets

For this Pink Saturday post,

I wanted to share some pink treats

that I put together for a

wonderful "supply exchange"

that Andrea Singarella hosted.

 

 Each participant was to send

a little something that could

be used at the En Le Jardin Art Retreat.

The theme for the event was along

the lines of garden, birds, fairies, etc.

 

Using a generous amount of {Pink}

paint,  I painted several square pots.

The white pipe cleaner were tea dyed

to create an old, vintage- like look.

 To create a medallion, I gathered

{Pink} crepe paper and glued a 

floral pic to the center.

 

  After the baskets were assembled,

I added shredded sheet music 

that I made using our home shredder.

 

And now for the fun part...

gathering theme-like items:

fluers, bird photos, eggs, feathers,

and some vintage lace.

 

I love these little baskets.

They are a lot of fun to make!

the possibilities are endless.  : )

Pink Birdie Picks

Last Sunday, I spotted an

Estate Sale sign on the

way to my sons baseball tournament.  :)

 

So, I did what any mother would...

dropped my kid off at the ball park

and circled back!   tee-hee

(good thing he's almost 14 yrs. old)

 

One of the first thing I noticed was

this box of picks:

which contained these lovely

PINK vintage birdies:

They are candle holders.

 

I instantly thought of Jenn Hayslip.

She added a pink birdie (similar to this one)

to the sweet southern apron she created.

 

The box I purchased also contained these

Vintage Circus pieces:

Which of course, made me think of another

Bella sister, Lisa Kettle and her book.

 

Thoughts of friends, pink birdie picks, and

vintage circus pieces all for 75 cents.

What a bargain!

After the party, I do believe I might

pluck that divine millinery off

and whip up a wonderful creation.

 

I just adore this pink glove box...

and the vintage lace gloves aren't

too shabby themselves.   tee-hee.

And since it's Valentine's day,

who could resist these cute

vintage valentine cards.

Aren't they just charming?

As is this cute card I received in the mail

from Scrappy Jessi. 

How sweet is she!?

Pink Goodness

Hello!

Welcome to another addition of

Pink Saturday...  one in which I am

calling "Pink Goodness".

I guess with everything going on,

I completely forgot to share my

 pink finds after returning from

 Silver Bella back in November.

It's my first.  So, I bought!

Now that Valentine's Day is

just around the corner, I think

I'll finally have the opportunity to

 put it to good use.  : ) 

Do you like vintage buttons

and push pins? 

Cause I found some of those too.

 

 I've got all my goodies!

Pink Stuff

Hello.
Happy New Year!

Can you believe it's 2009?

Anyhoo, to celebrate the New Year,
my daughter & I drove to Canton
for the big flea.  The weather turned
out to really nice.  Not a ton of dealers
on New Year's Day, but I still
managed to find a couple
of things.

Today, I'm sharing the
PINK stuff.  : )


a cute pink clock


a couple of clocks grouped together.
...I'm really starting to love the look of
2-3 clocks together.

And for the BIG "find" of the day:

this adorable PINK

C-H-A-I-R!

Although, I love it...
It's not really my style.
BUT it will make for a great
Valentine display in my booth.

I'll have to post more pics
once I get my booth situated.
